The travel association has launched a series of online articles and videos for members to help them as they look for new staff.
There will also be a webinar for members on 15 March, under the title Careers, Recruitment and Future of Talent in Travel, when speakers will discuss recruitment strategies and how existing employment schemes can be utilised.
Abta chief executive Mark Tanzer said: “As our industry moves into a recovery phase and demand for travel grows, many businesses are facing a challenging recruitment environment.
“The pandemic led to a downsizing of the industry’s workforce, with talented travel professionals moving to other sectors. The travel industry now has the task of enticing people back and attracting new talent to fill roles and help support the industry’s recovery.”
There is also a range of resources available in Abta’s members zone, including videos and articles on subjects such as apprenticeships in travel, and how to attract and retain staff in a competitive jobs market.
Members can also get support through the Abta Partner scheme, which offers training and recruitment helplines where some of the association’s partners provide 30 minutes of free advice on a range of topics, including apprenticeships.
