Abta LifeLine has thanked the industry for its “amazing” support after a string of successful fundraising efforts.
The organisation, which raises money to help industry members facing hardship, held its World Cup-themed Big Charity Day on June 28.
During the day staff from across the sector were encouraged to wear football kits to work and screen matches, as well as host bake sales, football quizzes and bingo sessions.
Among those who got involved were agents from Thomas Cook, who donned their favourite teams’ colours – raising £3,400 in the process.
Down in Dorking, Kuoni held its own keepie uppie competition and backed Gareth Southgate’s Three Lions in the World Cup semi-final on #WaistcoatWednesday, while staff at Tui’s Luton headquarters were also on hand to add their support.

On July 4, the organisation also raised more than £7,000 during its second fundraising dinner in Manchester.
During the evening, which took place at the Lowry Theatre, guests were treated to a private exhibition tour of the paintings of Lancashire artist L.S. Lowry, a drinks reception and a three-course meal.
An auction and raffle hosted by Kuoni boss Derek Jones was later held.
