The year-long scholarship awarded by the association in partnership with Visit Sweden covers attendance at the 2022 Adventure Travel World Summit, which will be hosted in Switzerland this year from 3-6 October, as well as a travel stipend for airfares.
It also includes free access to a selection of the adventure travel network’s online training courses.
"We’re grateful that the hard work and dedication we have shown to date as a young adventure travel business has been recognised by both ATTA and Visit Sweden," said Adventure Tours UK co-founder Claire Copeman. "It’s been a challenging few years for everyone in this industry and there’s still a long way to go.
"This scholarship will provide the boost we need at this critical time of recovery, opening doors for us through the summit in October, increasing brand awareness through publicity of the scholarship and providing invaluable training opportunities through the ATTA online courses."
Speaking to TTG last week, Copeman said Adventure Tours planned to scale up its business and work more closely with UK travel agents in the next year to offer UK-based activity holidays and small group tours.
