Trinidad and Tobago has developed a new training programme tailored to give agents an extensive taste of the Caribbean country.
The “Learn Trinbago” scheme promises to offer a more hands on approach and to highlight activities across both islands of the territory.
Account manager for sales and marketing, Darrin des Vignes was full of praise for the newly improved structure, he said: “We wanted to create an eye catching and dynamic training programme to really bring our dual island nation to life.
“Full of punchy facts, photographs and videos, the multi-module programme provides agents with a greater understanding of the islands and the hidden gems, activities, events, experiences and types of accommodation available.”
Designed to build on clients’ knowledge of the getaway, the programme consists of six modules each based around a different theme - with a short test to be completed at the end.
Once they have successfully finished the whole course, agents can download a certificate.
A bit of swotting up could come in handy as agents could currently bag themselves a four-night half-board stay at the Blue Waters Inn, Tobago for two people or two return flights with British Airways.
To be in with a chance of winning agents need to report and log all flights and accommodation packages to Trinidad, Tobago or both on trinbagorewards.com to be eligible and the highest number of bookings will clinch the prize.
“What’s really beneficial to agents is that as they extend their destination knowledge, they can also make and log bookings and win rewards,” added des Vignes.
“It’s a case of the more they learn, the more potential they have to sell and earn.”
