Buehrle brings more than 20 years industry experience to the role throughout product development, and in key account management and partnerships.
After gaining experience working for DMCs in Australia and Asia, Buehrle has for the past seven years worked for STA Travel in London.
She said her experience working with organisations and projects around the world had inspired a passion for responsible travel and advocating sustainable tourism practices.
Buehrle will report to Tara Gandhi, who has been promoted to the role of senior account manager at Discova.
"I’m very passionate about sustainable travel and getting people off the beaten track to experience real local activities and culture," said Buehrle.
"It is vital these activities also benefit those communities. This is in-line with all the great work Discova are doing. I’m therefore very excited about joining Discova and supporting my partners to send their customers to these amazing places.”

It is the latest in a series of appointments at Discova as the business looks to continue building B2B links with UK operators and agents. Last week, Susan Ogden was appointed to a new global director of supply and distribution role at Discova.
Discova told TTG Buehrle would be one of its most prominent faces in the UK, allowing the business to extend its support to key partners to help them grow and develop their product offering.
