The long-haul specialist has appointed Chris Bayley its new chief technology officer. He replaces Richard Whitehouse, who left the company earlier this year.

His appointment at Audley comes alongside that of chief marketing officer Daniel Robb, who confirmed last week he was joining the long-haul specialist, replacing director of digital and marketing Loic Robertson.

Bayley and Robb took up their roles on Monday (20 May) and will sit on the board reporting to Nick Longman, who joined Audley as chief operating officer in September last year before taking over from chief executive Ian Simkins in the new year.

All three worked at Tui between 2014 and 2016, during which time Longman – whose career at Tui spanned more than 20 years – was appointed managing director of Tui UK and Ireland.

Bayley will be responsible for all areas of technology and business development, while Robb’s remit will include all digital and offline marketing, as well as sales activity and brand strategy.

“I am delighted to welcome Chris and Daniel to the team at Audley,” said Longman. “I have had the pleasure of working with both of them in the past and know they [will] bring a breadth of expertise with them... as we continue to grow and transform our business. Chris and Daniel will play an integral role in that going forward.”

Bayley said it was “fantastic” to be back in travel after a two-year stint with medical equipment manufacturer Smith & Nephew.

Robb, meanwhile, added: It’s an exciting time for the business, with new launches planned and a great portfolio of product to promote.

"I’m looking forward to taking on and further developing the marketing strategy for Audley’s tailor-made offering.”
