The letter, written by chief executive of the group J.D O’Hara, was published in the paper on Tuesday (4 May) to coincide with Global Travel Advisor Day.
O’Hara championed the importance of the trade and thanked agents from its portfolio of travel brands – which includes Barrhead Travel, Global Travel Collection, Altour and Your Event Solutions in the UK – for "thriving through times of exceptional change".
"In a time of great disruption, our advisors demonstrated the importance of a human connection, providing the personal service that no online booking tool could ever match," he continued.
"Our advisors have prepared us for what I believe will be the best year that travel has ever seen, and I am grateful to them and remain committed to supporting their work."
