Quibell’s expanded remit will extend to all of Classic’s sales and service operations for agents, including oversight for its team of regional sales managers, its agency support team and its contact centre.
Classic said Quibell’s new role would centralise "the entire agent journey" with one strategic lead, ensuring better, more consistent support for agents from the initial enquiry right through to the holiday.
Quibell, who started his career as an agent before progressing into tour operating, said: "Having been a travel agent myself, I’m passionate about making sure it’s easy to work with us and that our agent partners always receive the highest levels of service."
Quibell’s colleague Kim Sellman will move into a new position as key account manager as part of the shake-up, while agents will continue to receive support from Classic’s regional sales managers Ashleigh Raymond, Adam Courtney and Harry Williams, as well as its dedicated agency support team.
Si Morris-Green, director of B2B at Classic Collection, added: "This is a great step forward for Jorge, who’s been with the business for four years. His new role gives him a full view of the customer and agent journey.
"With our 100% trade focus and the support of our national trade team, this move further reinforces our commitment to our travel agent partners.”
