The deal means the trade brand can offer flights with the carrier for the first time, opening new UK regional routes to the island. Classic already works with 18 airlines from more than 30 UK airports.
Agency sales and marketing manager Si Morris-Green said: “The welcome addition of Air Malta flights to our programme comes at a time when we are seeing strong demand for good value short haul package holidays.
“Our goal is to support our trade partners as much as we possibly can, and with our trade only Classic Package Holidays brand it’s all about giving our travel agent partners’ customers as much freedom, flexibility and choice as possible at a great value price point.”
The operator said it would be adding other carriers “over the course of the coming year”.
