The Adventure People is looking to add 15 new hires to its sales team in a bid to capitalise on the "exponential" growth of the adventure travel and touring market.
Last year, the adventure travel specialist saw "accelerated growth" in demand for experience-led trips, which chief executive Chris Roche expects to continue in 2023.
"In order to capitalise on this exponential growth as quickly as we would like, we need really good people on our sales team," he told TTG.
"Aggressive estimates predict the touring sector contributes to 10% of the travel market, and we believe that figure will continue to grow, as there is so much to experience out there."
Roche believes consumers are beginning to shift their holiday plans to touring trips instead of beach getaways.
"But that does not mean the start of the demise of the beach holiday. In fact, it’s proven time and time again that it is robust and it will continue to thrive – yet more people will be looking for experience-led holidays," Roche explained.
To capitalise on this predicted growth, Roche is seeking 15 experienced industry professionals to join the team and bolster its sales output.
"Because of the past couple of years, lots of really good people with loads of experience left the sector," he added.
"We want those with 10, 15, 20 years of experience, as they know the touring sector, they’ve built tailor-made holidays and they can deal with complex itineraries. But we are also happy to take on those with less than 10 years’ experience."
