Slated to open December 2024, the Snowbasin Resort site will mark the French brand’s first Exclusive Collection five-star property in America and follows the opening of Club Med Quebec this month.
Around 35 miles from Salt Lake City, Snowbasin Resort will offer 320 rooms and “combine American luxury with French savoir faire” with architectural and design elements from Utah’s history.
With direct ski-in/ski-out access to surrounding slopes, Club Med said the resort would be designed to appeal to “every type of traveller” with accommodations ranging from two-bedroom deluxe rooms, family suites and private penthouse suites.
The resort will also feature children’s clubs, all-day dining, group ski and snowboard lessons and a heated swimming pool during the ski season.
During the warmer months, guests will have the chance to explore more than 3,000 acres of surrounding mountains and valleys with guided activities, such as hiking and mountain biking.
The Club Med development is part of a larger plan recently announced by Snowbasin, which also includes additional beginner ski slopes, new lift infrastructure and retail and lodging areas.
