P&O Cruises and Cunard have confirmed they will increase the size of their sales team as part of a “major re-structuring”.
The shake-up will see the department rise to 46 employees, an expansion of 30%, and will take up to two months to finalise.
The new branch will comprise head office account management and business development resource, dedicated field sales support for national and retail partners, and sales operations, all dedicated to agency sales.
The cruise lines had previously labelled the re-structuring as the “most significant reorganisation” of their agency sales team in a decade and said they would create “a number of internal and external job opportunities”.
In a statement confirming the plans, P&O Cruises and Cunard said: “After careful consideration and following a full consultation, P&O Cruises & Cunard have decided to proceed with its proposed reorganisation, and will now start to transition to the new structure.”
