A Cruising excursions specialist has created an “industry first” online tool enabling agents to build personalised e-brochures filled with shoreside activities.
CruisingExcursions.com, which offers around 12,000 excursions at more than 700 ports worldwide, launched the system last week following a short testing period.
To create the brochures, agents enter their customer’s cruise line, ship, date of departure and duration of cruise into a dedicated section on CruisingExcursions’ trade website.
The brochure, which is automatically created using the data, is generated in PDF format and can be personalised with the customer’s name, the agent’s branding and their contact details.
The Staffordshire-based firm, which launched in 2011, offers up to 16% agent commission on all of its independently operated excursions.
The agent also has the option to send an email with the personalised shore excursion brochure to their customers. A copy is sent to the agent themselves as well.
Activities range from “must-see key sites to high-end private and tailored experiences”.
Marketing manager Ryan Inman told TTG the company had received “fantastic early feedback” from agents who had tried it.
“It does so much of the work for the agent, so its helps them as well as their customers. And it’s great customer service, which they can pass on,” he added.
“There’s real-time pricing and the option to link the brochure back to the agent’s website, which gives a really professional edge.
“We are working with all the major agencies, independents and cruise specialists, and if the response we’ve had so far is anything to go by, then hopefully more agents will be encouraged to book excursions through us.”
