Barrhead Travel has strengthened its marketing team with a series of key appointments, underlining its commitment to growth across the UK.
New recruits include a traditional marketing manager, digital marketing manager and social media manager, as well as marketing and social media executives.
Deborah Green joins as marketing manager having previously held the same role for Diamond Resorts.
Ryan Dunlop and Kate Speirits, meanwhile, assume the newly-created digital marketing manager and social media manager roles at Barrhead.
Dunlop comes from digital marketing having worked with the BBC and on the Commonwealth Games, while Speirits was a content creator for student accommodation firm Scape.
The firm has appointed two additional social media executives and another senior marketing executive, with another marketing executive due to join in the coming weeks.
The new-look team will report to marketing director Nesta Gilliland, who was appointed in February ahead of Barrhead’s acquisition by Travel Leaders Group.
Barrhead says it has invested significantly in new marketing initiatives, including a turn-of-year TV campaign.
Its marketing operation supports Barrhead’s entire UK-wide business network, including its retail division, business travel division Brilliant Travel, and co-campaigns with key partners.
“The continued growth of Barrhead Travel is hugely exciting and the marketing team will continue to expand as a result,” said Gilliland.
“Specifically, we have bolstered our social and digital teams with significant experience in line with our strategy to provide our customers with a full multi-channel offering.
“Timely and relevant customer communications are key and the expansion of our digital and social teams ensures we are offering our customers more opportunities to communicate with us via their preferred channel and at a time convenient to them.”
Barrhead is also looking for digital sales executives and is inviting applicants to come forward.
