The Czech government will discount any spa holiday taken in the country by £140pp until the end of the year in a bid to get the industry moving again.
The £34 million initiative is available to any UK resident booking a “curative, preventative stay” of at least six nights and five treatments in a Czech spa facility by the end of 2020.
The country is home to more than 30 spas, some of them among the oldest in Europe. Many are in the West Bohemian Spa Triangle area, a UNESCO World Heritage Centre around the towns of Karlovy Vary, Marianske Lazne and Frantiskovy Lazne.
A spokesperson said now was an excellent time to opt for a spa break.

“Tourist numbers are down there are so fewer crowds and much more space to relax; plus there’s a full range of treatments, including saunas and steam rooms, which are still closed in the UK.”
