EasyJet will launch four new European routes this summer from Manchester airport.
The no frills carrier will add an additional three aircraft at the airport from June as part of a “significant increase” in investment in the north-west.
The new routes for summer 2019 are Jerez (Spain), Kalamata (Greece), Bari (Italy) and Nice (France).
Flights to Kalamata will begin on June 15 and Nice on June 16, followed by Bari and Jerez on August 17.
The four new services will add 50,000 passengers at Manchester and grows the airline’s network there to 64 routes.
It comes after easyJet launched 12 new routes from Manchester over the past 12 months.
Neil Slaven, easyJet country director UK, said the additions complemented its investment in Manchester last year.
“Last autumn, we saw the delivery of two new aircraft to our Manchester base and look forward to the delivery of three more this summer, further reinforcing our commitment to the expansion of our Manchester operations and our ambition of always providing a great service and low fares.”
In June, easyJet will operate two flights a week to Kalamata (Tuesdays and Saturdays) using an Airbus A320 aircraft. Fares lead in from £23.24pp.
Nice, meanwhile, will gain three easyJet arrivals a week, with flights departing Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. EasyJet will also operate this route using Airbus A320s, with fares from £19.20pp.
Later in the summer, easyJet will fly twice a week to Bari (Wednesdays and Saturdays) using Airbus A319s. Fares lead in from £21.22pp.
Finally, flights to Jerez will depart three times a week (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays), the route operated using an Airbus A319. Fares lead in from £24.25pp.
Julian Carr, Manchester airport aviation director, added: “It’s great to see easyJet adding new routes for summer 2019 offering our passengers an even wider choice of destinations to choose from for their holidays.
“Jerez de la Frontera is a new route for the airport and one that I’m sure will prove hugely popular with those looking for a true taste of Spain.”
EasyJet will also increase the number of flights on its existing Manchester-Budapest route from twice a week on Mondays and Fridays to three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
It is also adding three extra flights a week (Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays) on its Belfast route.
