A link to Halifax will be introduced as well as a Toronto flight. WestJet will also continue its current Calgary service from the Scottish capital.
The Halifax flight will operate three times a week from 21 June to 4 September, while Toronto will be daily, from 14 May to 12 October. The latter route is also operated by Air Canada.
Edinburgh airport chief executive Gordon Dewar said: “WestJet’s decision to make Edinburgh airport its home in Scotland is incredibly exciting, especially as they grow their presence in Scotland’s capital, and we look forward to working with them to make these routes a success.
