Sakara departed Vietnam on 6 July after “exceeding” the company’s expectations during the trials and being certified for guest operations.
“We’re thrilled to be able to share our newest gem in less than a month’s time and look forward to offering our guests wonderful experiences in the Caribbean and Central America this fall and winter,” said Glen Moroney, founder and chairman of parent company Scenic Group.
The vessel will embark on its inaugural trip – an eight-day sailing from Athens to Rome – on 5 August, calling at the likes of Itea, Cefalonia, Amalfi, Sorrento and Capri. Bookings, the cruise line said, start from £3,060 per person.
