“Travel for good” social enterprise Charitable Travel has restarted its free exercise and wellness classes, and everyone in the industry is invited.
The 12-week Weekday Wellness sessions take place via Zoom on Mondays and Thursdays at 8.25am (for 30-40 minutes) and comprise a 20-minute workout for all abilities, followed by a Q&A focusing on topics such as nutrition and mental health.
The body conditioning element will be led by personal trainer and nutritional therapist, Jenny Tomei, who will also take the Q&A sessions each Monday to talk about gut health and digestion, successful meal prepping, breaking away from diet culture and how to stay fit and healthy from home.
Thursday Q&A sessions will feature different guests, including nutritionists, mental health experts and inspirational Olympic and Commonwealth Games athletes and para-athletes.
As a registered social enterprise, supporting those in need and aiding fundraising is at the heart of everything that Charitable Travel does.
Those taking part in Weekday Wellness can make an optional donation to The Charitable Travel Fund, which is dedicated to supporting tourism communities in need, or to a registered charity of their choice.
TTG Media will be hosting recordings of the sessions on its new Mental Health hub from next week, for those who wish to take the classes in their own time.
