The Global Travel Group is reporting a 30% increase in bookings in January.
The boost was driven by a number of factors including recent heavy snowfalls in the Alps see a 50% increase in bookings.
Forward bookings for summer 2018 are 20% up while winter 2018/19 forward bookings have seen a surge of 70%
Spain is proving to be a perennial favourite with the mainland up by 30% while the Balearics are up 15%.
Long-haul luxury bookings have also increased by 15% with the UAE, Mexico and Maldives all driving the trend having seen bookings more than double.
Global Travel Group managing director Andy Stark said: “This is a big year for The Global Travel Group so we’re especially delighted that our 25th anniversary has already got off such a promising start.
