Running from September to December, the campaign rewards seven employees each month – five from the shop floor, one from head office and one homeworker. This month, the winners each received £2,000 to put towards a holiday, as well as £500 in spending money.
“A massive congratulations to this month’s winners. We look forward to hearing which destination they all choose,” said Hays Travel owner Dame Irene Hays.
October’s winners include selling systems supervisor Samantha Wright, as well as Emily Hudson, a travel consultant at Hays Travel’s Macclesfield branch.
Wright, who has worked at Hays for the past 10 years, said she would put the £2,000 towards her honeymoon next year, which will include a cruise and villa stay in Florida.
“As a travel agent, it’s always hardest to look for your own holiday, so I am currently not sure where to choose for my holiday,” said Hudson. “Canada is on my bucket list, so it’s time to start doing some research.”
Other winners included Ella Bardsley (Hays Travel Hyde), Ruth Ridewood (Hays Travel Chippenham), Caroline Pendleton (Hays Travel Ripley), Keesha Mckenzie (Hays Travel Hemel Hempstead) and Kayleigh Hague (Hays Travel personal travel consultant).
Launched in July last year, the Big Hays Travel Thank You initiative has seen staff members win cars, as well as free holidays. Just last month, Hays paid household bills for seven of its members as part of the campaign.
