Guests who book by 31 May for cruises departing before the end of September can cancel for any reason and receive future cruise credit to the amount of any cancellation fees that would normally be incurred.
Bookings must be cancelled up to 30 days prior to departure.
"We want our guests to confidently make their summer cruise plans,” said Beth Bodensteiner, HAL senior vice-president and chief commercial officer.
“By extending the date our guests need to book their cruise under our worry-free promise, it will allow them to take advantage of some great limited-time special offers with the peace of mind that if they change their plans they can still take a cruise at a later date.”
HAL’s cancellation protection can also be purchased for new cruises, Alaska Cruisetours bookings or existing bookings, so long as it is purchased before the date cancellation fees begin to accrue.
Offered as a standard plan, guests can cancel for any reason up to 24 hours before their cruise departs and receive refunds of 80-90% of eligible amounts paid. The cost varies by cruise fare and is non-refundable.
