Reeve, who joined Intrepid more than 12 years ago following a career in TV and media, takes up her new role with immediate effect.
She has held various roles with Intrepid, including leading its tailor-made and private group touring divisions before going on to take a leading role overseeing the operator’s trade relationships and activity as head of trade.
She steps up to the top job in the UK and Ireland from her post as head of partnerships, with responsibility for business development and growing B2B partnerships.
Reeve will report into Intrepid managing director EMEA, Zina Bencheikh, and will work closely too with her predecessor McGuire, who has moved into a global chief marketing officer role with Intrepid.
“I’m absolutely thrilled to be promoted into this role – it’s such an incredible opportunity," said Reeve. "From the standout product to our genuine commitment to making travel a force for good for people and the planet, I’m proud to represent the Intrepid brand and our region.
"I want to thank the travel trade and our agent partners for their unwavering support — they have been critical to what we achieved as a business in the UK and very much a part of our future growth plans."
Bencheikh added: “Jo has been an instrumental member of the UK team for more than a decade. She brings an outstanding level of industry knowledge, and I know she has some incredibly exciting plans for the region and the trade. I can’t wait to work closely with her and help take the business to the next level in the UK and Ireland.”
