The airline and its Jet2CityBreaks brand first announced plans in November to introduce flights from both Manchester and Birmingham to Porto starting in summer 2025.
But now flights from Manchester to Porto have been brought forward to summer 2024 with two weekly services operating on Thursday and Sunday from 4 July and running until 3 November.
The move means that Jet2 will offer 59 destinations from Manchester airport this summer.
Steve Heapy, chief executive of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “Since announcing the launch of the brand-new city destination of Porto, we have experienced phenomenal demand.
“We always listen to what our customers and independent travel agent partners are telling us so we have acted quickly to bring forward the launch of Porto by a whole year.”
