The tour operator said summer 2025 holidays were being put on sale now due to “strong demand” for summer holidays and to give agents and their customers the chance to book ahead and "lock in the deal". The company added that it was first UK airline and tour operator to put summer 2025 on sale.
The increase in capacity includes six new routes for summer 2025: Bristol to Kalamata in Greece; Edinburgh to Sicily and Bourgas in Bulgaria, and three new routes from its new base at Liverpool John Lennon airport to Malaga, Malta and Reus.
As part of the expansion, Jet2 will also operate more aircraft at Birmingham, Liverpool, Stansted and Manchester airports during summer 2025. It will also base three new Airbus A321neo aircraft at Edinburgh airport for the season.
Steve Heapy, chief executive of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “As the UK’s largest tour operator, we have listened to what our customers are telling us and reacted by putting our Summer 25 Sun programme on sale nice and early.
“By going on sale today, we are giving customers the chance to lock in the price of their holiday now, have their pick of the best choice of destinations, hotels, rooms and flights and spread the cost.
“Our Summer 25 Sun programme represents our largest programme to date, and the scale and size of this means customers and independent travel agents have lots of choice and flexibility when it comes to getting away.”
For summer 2025, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays will operate more than 1,600 weekly departures from 11 UK airports to 46 destinations during peak periods.
Earlier this week, it was revealed that Jet2holidays would be the largest Atol holder for the next 12 months with a licence for up to 6,716,305 passengers.
