The airline and its tour operator Jet2holidays are adding an extra 15,000 seats from its UK bases to mainland Spain, the Balearics, Canary Islands and Faro in Portugal.
Jet2’s move comes after easyJet added 90,000 seats to its summer 2022 schedule earlier this week, including new departures for the crucial Easter holiday in April.
Extra flights are being added in March and April from Belfast International, Bristol, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, Manchester, Newcastle and Stansted to six key beach destinations: Alicante, Malaga, Tenerife, Lanzarote, Majorca and Faro.
Steve Heapy, chief executive of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “We are seeing sustained demand right across the board, with customer confidence bouncing back strongly as international travel starts to look like normal again.
“We are seeing strong demand and are responding to that quickly by adding more capacity where necessary, providing customers and independent travel agents with even more choice and flexibility.
“Spring and Easter are looking like extremely popular times to escape, and we anticipate there will be a huge getaway to the sun.”

Belfast International to Malaga and Tenerife
Bristol to Malaga and Tenerife
Glasgow to Malaga and Alicante
Leeds Bradford to Lanzarote, Tenerife, Malaga and Alicante
