Aileen Rutherford and Ryan Clayton will bring more than 35 years’ experience between them to the operator, expanding the firm’s trade team to 14.
 
Rutherford will cover Scotland and Cumbria and Clayton will take on the East Midlands and South Yorkshire regions. The pair will be responsible for working with agents to help them market, promote and sell package holidays with the operator.
 
Rutherford has spent more than 20 years in the travel industry working as a retail manager at an independent high street agent and as assistant manager and retail manager for a leisure, travel and tourism company.
 
Meanwhile, Clayton has more than 15 years’ experience in the industry after starting his career as a sales consultant for a travel group where he then spent 14 years working in various roles. He then took up the roles of business development executive and then branch manager for an independent travel agency.

Alan Cross, head of trade at Jet2holidays, said the two appointments demonstrate the brand’s "100% commitment" to its travel agent partners.
