Every agent signing up will also benefit from an additional £20 agent commission for their first Major Go package booking this October.

The B2B operator is encouraging agents to form teams of two to five people to maximise their steps over five weeks until the end of October. After registering, the whole team’s steps will be tracked using their own devices such as a watch, Fitbit or smartphone app.

The virtual walk follows the route from Venice to Verona, Milan, Turin and ends in Genoa, making a total of 366.5 miles. Teams must sign up by 1 October 2022.

The top two teams will share in a prize fund totalling £1,000 to spend on their own holidays. Teams will be judged on the average steps achieved per member.

Major Travel managing director Qasim Gulamhusein said: “It’s been a stressful time for agents who have been faced with lots of challenges.

"After months of hard work, we want to play our part in encouraging them to look after their mental health by getting outside into the fresh air with their colleagues, taking some exercise and having some fun.”
