Three-quarters of Brits do not intend to change their holiday plans in 2023 despite the cost of living crisis, according to new research from Travel Counsellors.

‘This roadmap allows us to strike a balance to go forward cautiously but not to go back,’ the PM has said

The homeworking giant quizzed more than 2,500 customers, with 76% saying holidays are “so important” they still intended to travel as planned next year.

The survey, carried out last month, also found that nearly 60% of customers are planning to secure their 2023 trip at the same time they traditionally book, while 24% wanted to book early and 18% favoured hunting for a last-minute deal two months from departure.

Travel Counsellors said the survey also “highlighted the need for flexibility” when making booking decisions, with more than 60% of its customers interested in low deposits or flexible payment terms.
