Air Malta has confirmed plans to make its newly launched package holidays arm, Air Malta Holidays, bookable through agents.
Through its portal, airmaltaholidays.com, the Maltese flag carrier is offering “a one-stop-shop” combining flights, hotels and airport transfers for breaks to Malta and Gozo.
The platform, which launched on 4 December, is currently only direct-sell but a spokesperson confirmed to TTG it would be opened up to the trade, although no time frame was given.
He said Air Malta Holidays was “primarily aimed to assist online customers with direct booking”, but added: “In future the system will be expanded to allow online travel agents, travel agents and tour operators to work with Air Malta and offer these hotels directly to their clients.”
Air Malta Holidays currently offers breaks on all the airline’s routes from the UK, Italy, Germany and France, with more markets due to be added soon, as well as Air Malta Events and Air Malta Conferences portals.
