The week-long cruise over 18-25 June from Barcelona – calling in Cannes, Corsica and Ibiza – will feature four days of onboard workshops, with Virgin also promising a series of exclusive experiences.
NJT hosted its first seminar at sea last September onboard Norwegian Cruise Line’s Prima. After initially planning for 50 attendees, the business went back to NCL to secure more cabins and eventually hosted more than 200 people.
"It was unlike any other event that has ever gone before," said Not Just Travel co-founder Steve Witt. "We have proven we have a winning formula and have gone on to refine it into an even better experience. Virgin Voyages are pulling out all the stops to make this event incredible.”
Workshops will focus on helping NJT agents and franchisees build their knowledge, grow sales and tap a larger slice of the growing cruise market. “Not only do many cruise lines offer lucrative commissions, but our agents have discovered that cruise clients tend to be avid repeat bookers," said Witt.
Witt said agents new to selling cruise could sign up to the business’s 12-month cruise mastery programme, which includes an invite to the seminar at sea.
NJT’s cruise division is headed up by senior cruise business development manager Duncan Croucher and offers agents a route into selling more than leading cruise lines, as well as access to exclusive deals, ship visits and training.
It will host its second international mastery retreat onboard new MSC Cruises ship, Euribia, in October.
“Our first seminar at sea was a huge success," said NJT co-founder Paul Harrison. "The best way to learn about cruise is to experience it. Many franchisees had never set foot on a cruise ship but then went on to make some big cruise bookings thanks to the confidence and knowledge they gained on the trip."
Virgin Voyages director of sales SJ Walker added: "Hosting the seminar at sea is another great opportunity to help accelerate the partnership and drive growth. We love the enthusiasm and support within the NJT network through individuals increasing their sales, in particular those who have completed our Seacademy training program.
"On average, our gold tier members are booking 15 times as much business compared to those who have not started the training, so I would highly recommend those wanting to sell more Virgin Voyages to get involved."
