Olympic Holidays is set to launch a “one click to window display” tool for agents in the coming days, chief executive Clare Tobin has revealed.
Tobin announced the new feature, which will be hosted on Olympic’s trade portal, at a breakfast event at WTM London on Tuesday morning (5 November).
It will allow agents to browse a range of marketing collateral that they can download and print in a single click for use in shop windows and on social media.
Tobin said alongside Olympic’s ongoing commitment to price parity for agents, the new feature was another example of the island specialist’s efforts to work closely with the trade, which constitutes approximately 50% of its business.
“We’re happy with that,” she said. “We work very closely with travel agents. Any hotel we promote can now be in a shop window with the click of a button. This [tool] will go out this week.”
In a brief business update, Tobin revealed Olympic had achieved a 13% increase in sales year-on-year, while rates of customer satisfaction currently stand at 92%.
Olympic is now working with more than 30 airlines across the UK, flying to 55 islands. Recent additions include the Balearics, Malta and Egypt.
Tobin said the Canaries and Egypt would meet demand for winter sun holidays and form part of a year-round programme. “We are a year-round operator,” Tobin stressed.
She added the business was aiming to be “a global island specialist by 2022”, its ambitions underpinned, said Tobin, by the strength of its vision and of its team.
Other developments coming from Olympic include a new interactive website that prospective customers can use to explore their perfect island-hopping experience, and further investment in its app, which Olympic believes will be the future of its in-resort communication.
The app also hosts a concierge service, real-time live chat function and will create opportunities for in-resort and post-holiday marketing.
Olympic also presented its inaugural Olympic Awards at the event, celebrating a number of its key hotel partners and their efforts when it came to weddings, family breaks and sustainability efforts.
The winners were:
“We feel it is important to recognise partner hotels and resorts who continually strive to give Olympic Holidays’ passengers the best possible holiday experience,” said Tobin.
