It said it would be expanding its trade team with new roles to increase support for agents and “ensure deeper specialisation” across its products to further drive trade sales.
The changes will see Amanda Docherty promoted from her current role as national sales manager for home-based agents to take up Billings’ former position as head of trade UK.
Meanwhile, Claire Hills moves up from national sales manager to the newly created role of strategic account manager, with Lloyd Morris also promoted to strategic account manager. Both Hills and Morris will report to Docherty.
Riviera said that its remaining five key account managers would also report to Docherty, although Carrie Day, who is country manager for Ireland, will continue to report to Billing. The operator’s current trade team is made up of 24 staff.
“We’ve had two incredibly successful years and we’re determined to build on that momentum,” explained Billing. “But we also recognise that one size doesn’t fit all. Introducing two senior strategic account manager roles allows us to tailor our approach to the needs of different partners and regions.
“These changes are designed to improve business efficiency and ultimately lead to a better product and service for both our customers and our agent partners – it’s all about making Riviera even easier to do business with.”
Billing said Riviera would also be recruiting for a new key account manager for homeworkers to continue Docherty’s work in this area. In the meantime, Docherty will continue to support home-based agents.
Docherty added: “We have an exceptionally talented team of trade account managers, and I’m energised by the opportunity ahead.
“These are exciting times for Riviera Travel as we continue to evolve and make it even easier for our partners to do business with us.”
