Party travel specialist Party Hard Travel raised more than £2,000 to support NHS workers amid the coronavirus by hosting a six-hour virtual DJ set.
The operator, which provides packages to Europe’s clubbing hotspots, brought together a number of DJs to perform from their lockdown locations last week, with the event live-streamed on social media.
Party Hard also held a raffle with a holiday, VIP party experiences, festival tickets and other treats given away during the evening, helping to collect more than £2,200 for NHS Charities Together.
Those working for the NHS can also access discounts on holidays and packages by contacting info@partyhardtravel.com from their NHS email.
Nathan Cable, Party Hard co-founder, said: “The live-stream raffle was brilliant. At one point in the evening, we had 2,500 people tuned in and over the course of the night 30,000 joined in.
“The coronavirus pandemic is devastating on so many levels. This was our way of showing our support for frontline staff for the amazing job they’re doing, raising much-needed funds, and giving everyone who’s missing the party lifestyle a bit of a lift. Our thanks go to our partners and suppliers for supporting the event.”
