Pat Cannell, who works at Essex agency Macallen Travel, said she was “very surprised” to win the top prize, stressing it was the first time she’s ever won anything.
“I was delighted when Joe [Lavers, trade relationship manager] from Prestige called me with the news that one of my bookings to Canada was the winning booking – I was very, very surprised as I never win anything,” she said.
Launched in May, the incentive gave agents making bookings with the operator between June and mid-October a chance of winning a £10,000 travel allowance to put towards a Prestige holiday from its entire portfolio.
Cannell’s winning booking was picked at random, and she now has 18 months to use her allowance.
The Canada specialist is following up Cannell’s win with the launch of what Lavers described as Prestige’s biggest-ever voucher incentive, which coincides with discounts of up to £200 to help agents get bookings over the line.
Agents can win Love2Shop vouchers worth up to £200 on each Prestige booking, depending on its size, which will be issued to agents automatically.
They can also win a six-night stay in Tenerife by booking holidays to the Canary Islands until 9 January, as well a place on an educational trip to Canada.
All bookings made between November and 22 January 2024 will automatically be entered into the prize draw and will equal one entry, while Canada bookings will count for two.
