Caribbean Princess will operate out of Port Canaveral, starting November 2024. It will sail a selection of eastern and western Caribbean itineraries, ranging from four to 14 days.
These include a four-day Turks & Caicos getaway over the Thanksgiving holiday. Cruises out of Port Canaveral onboard the 3,140-passenger ship will go on sale on 24 May.
Princess president John Padgett said the port, which serves as a gateway to Orlando, was a perfect fit for Caribbean Princess owing to flight options into Orlando International airport and the range of options available for pre- and post-cruise experiences in the region.
The line added establishing Port Canaveral as a homeport would be key to expanding its presence in North America. Port Canaveral chief executive John Murray hailed the move "an exciting milestone".
