The move comes after the airline announced plans to restart its Australia-UK route via Darwin once the country’s borders reopen on 1 November.
Qantas will lease Darwin airport’s Catalina lounge, which will have space for approximately 100 guests.
It will feature service delivered by local Qantas team members, lounge and dining areas, a buffet, a selection of wine, beer and non-alcoholic drinks and bathroom facilities.
Qantas group chief customer officer Stephanie Tully said the national carrier is "delighted" to work with the airport to "ensure a comfortable transit experience" for its business class guests.
"We know that spending time in our lounges is one of the most enjoyable parts of the travel experience," she added.
"We are excited to work with our friends at Darwin airport to have our lounge facility ready next week in time to welcome our first international customers in 20 months."
