Its new flight partnership now gives Ryanair customers access to 74 routes to and from Malta.

The 21 new routes are split across 14 countries in Europe, North Africa and Asia, eight of which are new Maltese connections for Ryanair - Austria, Czech Republic, Israel, Morocco, Russia, Switzerland, Tunisia and Ukraine.

Destinations include Casablanca, Kiev, Moscow, Tunis and Zurich.

David O’Brien, Ryanair chief commercial officer, said the partnership would give the airline’s 139 million customers access to more than 300 destinations through the Ryanair website.

O’Brien added the deal underlined Ryanair’s ambition of becoming “the Amazon of travel”.
