Agents making bookings will still have the option to pay in full 10 months prior to travel to enjoy a free flight credit, transfers, and can still opt to add pre- and post-cruise accommodation at an additional charge.
Andrea Stafford, director of trade sales for Scenic Group, said: "We have chosen to introduce cruise only’ fares to simplify our prices and make agents’ lives easier.
"We believe the additional option provides agents with more flexibility and more choice for their customers."
To support the shift, Scenic is offering dedicated marketing materials to promote bookings, along with bespoke training sessions for agents looking to bolster sales; an online training programme available 24 hours a day; and a River Rewards & More agent incentive scheme.
