Shearings Leisure Group’s hotel brand Coast & Country is to open two Country Living Hotels after partnering with the magazine, on sale now.
The Lansdown Grove in Bath and The St George in Harrogate will undergo an extensive refurbishment before being rebranded as Country Living Hotels, exclusively by Coast & Country.
Created and designed in conjunction with the team behind the magazine, the two hotels aim to bring the Country Living brand to life.
Shearings said guests can expect “beautifully designed rooms, locally sourced seasonal food and drink, relaxing surroundings and comfy sofas”.
The Country Living team has also created menus inspired by producers and features from the magazine.
Both hotels sit in period buildings. The Country Living Lansdown Grove Hotel has 55 rooms and is due to reopen in late May, while the Country Living St George Hotel in Harrogate, with 90 bedrooms, is scheduled to open in early July.
Richard Calvert, Shearings Leisure Group chief executive, said: “We are delighted to be working with such a prestigious brand as Country Living.
“The creation of Country Living Hotels is an exciting venture for us, which will bring new customers into our Group and offer a differentiated and engaging hotel experience to our loyal customers.
“Our significant investment in both hotels underlines our commitment to our partnership with Hearst UK and Country Living and augers well for future innovative partnerships between both our companies.”
James Wildman, Hearst UK chief executive, added: “This partnership is a fantastic addition to the ever-growing Country Living portfolio of brand partnerships and endorsements.
“The magazine has a loyal following of readers who enjoy the unique country themed content and we strive to bring that content to life through our events.
“This is a very ambitious project and is the first time a publisher has put its stamp on a hotel – so we’re thrilled to be working with Shearings Leisure Group, who are very much the experts in running a hugely successful travel business.
“Together we plan to create something new, that will surprise and delight Country Living loyal fans as well as introducing many more to the brand.”
Agents will be able to book Shearings Holidays self-drive short break packages or bespoke coach breaks that will be tailor-made around the Country Living brand.
