Family and friends will leave flowers for the couple at a memorial bench, which stands in front of South Shields Town Hall on Westoe Road.
Nearly 200 businesses, schools and organisations in the town, meanwhile, will take part in events to raise money for the The Chloe and Liam Together Forever Trust, founded in their honour to help young people "reach their potential" in sport and performance.
A golf day will take place at South Shields Golf Club on 9 June, followed by a charity football match at Harton and Westoe Miners Welfare on 24 June and a gala dinner at the Hilton Hotel in Gateshead on 8 July.
Westoe Travel director Graeme Brett said: "It is hard to believe that it is six years since this tragic event took the lives of this beautiful young couple.
"Their legacy carries on through the amazing work of their families through The Chloe and Liam Together Forever Trust, which has so far supported more than 1,200 young people to help them reach their potential in sport and performance."
Full details of the events can be found on The Chloe and Liam Together Forever Trust Facebook page.
