As of Tuesday (20 September), travellers will no longer have complete Spain’s health control form or show the Spain Travel Health QR code at their arrival or departure airport.
The online Spain Travel Health portal has also been mothballed. The changes were confirmed by Spain’s ministry of health at the weekend, and come after the country – on Friday (16 September) – said its proof of Covid vaccination and testing requirements would continue until mid-November.
A spokesperson for Spain’s UK tourist office said: "From Tuesday 20 September, passengers travelling to Spain no longer have to fill in the Spain Travel Health form (SpTH). All other entry requirements to Spain remain the same.
On Friday, Spain reiterated non-fully vaccinated arrivals would, until 15 November, continue to be required to provide evidence of a recent negative test for Covid-19 to proof of having recently recovered from the virus. Children under the age of 12 are exempt.
