The Spanish Tourist Office said the event would take the form of a conference to address the challenges of tourism and sustainability.
Among the themes will be the social aspect of sustainability, mass tourism, greenwashing, aviation and transportation.
Manuel Butler, UK director of the Spanish Tourist Office said: "We are excited to launch our inaugural Spain’s Sustainability Day this year. We all know the delicate relationship between tourism, the environment and climate change urgently demand attention.
