It comes after the company expanded the new platform’s capabilities earlier this year, improving its functionality.
Speaking at the Hays Travel Independence Group annual conference in Marbella, Katrina Latimer, trade partnership manager at Thomas Cook said it was “hugely important” third party agents understood the viewdata migration would be happening.
“Just play around with the site [Thomas Cook Trade], it’s really easy to navigate,” she said.
“The ancillaries are great and it’s really easy to upsell into it – the [aircraft] seat map is on the booking flow. The visual of the map comes up and you get the confirmation straight away.”
Cook’s trade team held webinars on Thomas Cook Trade last week, and will continue to conduct
more for third party agents to access.
Latimer has also recorded a “video walkthrough” which is being distributed to the trade. She encouraged agents wanting access to this to contact their trade partnership manager.
“It’s a great selling tool,” she concluded.
In addition, Cook has launched new e-learning training modules, changed its Facebook page to “closed” and revamped Thomas Cook World.
