Trevelyan, who was appointed to her role at the start of September by prime minister Liz Truss, will face MPs at 9.30am on Wednesday (19 October).
She will give evidence alongside fellow ministers Dame Bernadette Kelly, permanent secretary for the Department for Transport, and Gareth Davies, the department’s second permanent secretary.
Among the lines of questioning set to be levelled at Trevelyan will be probes around the DfT’s progress delivering the Transport Bill, set out in the 2022 Queen’s Speech, and plans to modernise rail services.
The committee evidence session is the second to be held this month after British Airways, easyJet and Gatwick bosses were quizzed on 12 October over summer travel disruption.
