The homeworking giant saw a 35% increase in cruise business compared to the same period in 2019.
In September 2022, the agency saw a rise in total gross sales of traditional cruise types compared to pre-pandemic figures, with mainstream cruises up by 31%, premium cruises up by 39% and luxury cruises up by 137%.
The company has also seen growth in customers booking cruises closer to travel, with 32% of bookings made in the last 28 days for winter 2022 and 48% for the 2023 summer season.
Travel Counsellors also saw the average cruise booking value in September 2022 increase by 17% compared to September 2019, as people look for more experiential travel options.
This comes as the company amassed £700 million in new bookings this year, more than 20% up on full-year figures for 2019, with September sales up to £75m alone.
Janet Whittingham, head of cruise at Travel Counsellors, said: "It’s fantastic to see such a brilliant resurgence from an industry that was one of those hardest hit by the pandemic.
"I think travellers appreciate the range and variety that cruising offers, and with many looking to try something new it’s a great option with some very competitive pricing."
She said the firm has seen both new-to-cruise and repeat customers booking cruise holidays, and more clients seeking the advice of an agent who can advise on the product.
