A “master thief”, an amputee former soldier and an Atlantic rower will all be speaking at this year’s Travel Network Group conference.
The Inspire conference is taking place from May 8-10 on board the Celebrity Eclipse, sailing out of Southampton.
As well as updates on the group’s strategic direction and the results of an Institute of Customer Service (ICS) survey, the 455 delegates can look forward to the motivational speakers.
Speaker and broadcaster Hamish Taylor earned his nickname of “master thief” thanks to his ability to take ideas from one industry and successfully apply them to other.
His career has seen him take up a number of roles including head of brands at British Airways and Eurostar chief executive.
Chris Moon was a British Army officer for three years and since losing both an arm and a leg when he was blown up by a landmine but has become an ultra-marathon runner and motivational speaker.
Debra Searle made her name when she set out to row the Atlantic in 2001 with her husband.
However, he quit the challenge after developing a fear of the ocean, leaving her to complete the feat alone in 111 days as opposed to the originally planned six weeks.
Gary Lewis, chief executive at The Travel Network Group, said: “For this year’s Inspire conference we wanted speakers who can really engage with our Members.
“Debra, Hamish and Chris will share with us their incredible life experiences and business ventures and delegates are sure to not only be energised and motivated by what they hear, but be able to take away real practical learnings that they can embed in their own business lives.”
