The rebrand was managed by Julia Newiss, head of marketing who said: “We used research all through the rebrand process, from customer focus groups to online surveys, but we knew that the final decision for the new name and brand needed to be made by our customers. Rail Discoveries and its new logo design was the most popular choice, with 64% of those surveyed choosing it as their preferred brand”.

Peter Liney, Great Rail Journeys chief executive, said: “The new name was chosen by customers for our customers and we are really excited by their choice – it says so much more about what we do and what a rail holiday is all about.”

The 2015 programme includes 6 new worldwide tours 17 new tours in Europe & the UK, five new fly:rail tours and three new rail cruises.
