The functionality will give travel agents a new way to stay on top of the latest updates from across the travel trade – while the TTG team puts an even greater focus on what the news means to you.
PRs will be required to follow strict guidance to ensure only relevant, succinct content appears on ttgmedia.com. All content will be assessed by TTG editors before being made live. Any press releases which breach the guidance will be rejected, with constructive feedback.
Describing the reasons for the launch of Noticeboard, TTG editor Sophie Griffiths explained: “The TTG news team is frequently inundated with press releases from across the sector.
"We want to ensure the trade is regularly kept updated with this content while also allowing our award-winning news team to do what they do best – deliver strong, off-diary news stories to keep our travel agent audience educated and informed."
Noticeboard will sit on TTG’s homepage, with top stories highlighted within TTG’s twice daily bulletins. PRs wanting access to the Noticeboard uploader should register here. Please note, agency PRs must sign up individually to request their own Noticeboard profile.
A live webinar hosted by TTG editor Sophie Griffiths and digital manager Steve Hinds, explaining how the new process will work, will also take place at 3pm today (Monday 17 April). It is open to all PRs and press officers. Register here to attend.
The TTG news team recently increased to four with the addition of news reporter Ilaria Grasso Macola, who joins senior reporter Will Payne, deputy news editor Tom Parry and news editor James Chapple.
