The Travel Network Group has made 15 members of its head office team redundant in the face of the coronavirus crisis.
An internal communication sent by chief executive Gary Lewis, seen by TTG, reads: “We are speaking to many members every day and know the issues you are facing – we are all facing – during these unprecedented times in our lives.
“Over the course of the last few weeks we have been talking about crisis planning and, of course, we too have had to pull together a plan of how we can protect our business at this time. A plan that will support you as members today, and one that ensures we are in good shape to face the future.”
He went on to say 15 members of the Woking office, from all areas of the business, have undergone “difficult conversations about redundancy”.
“I am sure you will understand our position and that our focus has to be on protecting our group at this time, whilst ensuring that we have a robust business in place for when market conditions improve, and we are through this period,” he added.
“Our unwavering focus continues to be on supporting you, our members, at this time, and I hope you feel that we are achieving this through our efforts to keep you updated with advice and guidance.”
